For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” (Romans 8:15)
Do you identify with the young children who run to the door shouting, “Daddy’s home!” when their father comes home from work or traveling? They are so happy to see the one they love and is loving and caring of them. Or do you identify more with the children who run and hide, tense up or walk on eggshells when their father comes home? They may see him as harsh or even abusive. However you see or saw your earthly father there is a father who is perfect love, perfectly kind, builds up, heals our brokenness, and perfectly cares for us. There is respect but no fear when we think of Him. With heart-felt and profound love we can proclaim to ourselves, “Abba’s home!” Think about that and proclaim it to yourself several times “ABBA’S HOME!”
I praise You, my Lord! You are my God! What would You say to me today? Shall we meet somewhere? I just desire to be with You, abide in You, hear Your voice.
“Even as you enjoy hearing your children’s voices, so I enjoy hearing mine.”
Abba! “I am my beloved’s and He is mine. His banner over me is love.!”
“Peace. Be still and know that I am God. We shall go to the courts of heaven.”
How shall we get there?
“On the wings of the night, through starry heavens, galaxies without number, the glories of the earthly heavens.”
I enjoyed the ride, the tour, but suspect it isn’t necessary to see the courts of heaven.
“No, it’s the scenic route. I thought you would enjoy it.” 🙂
Of course. And now?
“You can step into the heavenlies from any spot–there at home, in the midst of the congregation, anywhere you quiet yourself and focus your whole heart on me. There the veil is thin. Focused worship done out of love brings you quickly.”
What would You show me, Lord?.. It is as if two angels are pulling back a curtain, as on a stage. I see a lot of blue sky and a bright light in the center. Walking into the light I am swallowed by it. Drinking the light. Being filled by the light. Being carried by the light. I rest in it. Washed clean in it, every corner and crevice. I long to be one with You.
“You are in Me and I am in you.”
I know there are others to consider, but I just want to continue with You.
“There is eternity. Time has no meaning, but work is accomplished. There is ruling and reigning. Much goes on, but you can glory in Me and I in you as long as you desire. Old things fall away. All things are made new.”
It is perfection of love, rest, cleansing, wholeness, peace. If only I could stay.
“Come whenever you like. One day you can stay. I love you.”
