“He who dwells in the secret places of the Most High” (Ps. 91:1)
I am in and seated with Christ who is seated at the right hand of the Father.
“Shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely and in Him I trust.” (Ps 91:1-2)
That’s the requirement. When we meet that, the rest of Psalm 91 tells us the result. In verses 3-7 we learn the Lord will deliver us, cover us, keep us from fear and terror, and protect us from evil plots (including Satan’s), and we will have no fear of pestilence, destruction or sudden death.
This was all very meaningful to me today. I awoke feeling better than I had in days and thought I could tackle my errands which I had put off yesterday. As I started down the road toward my car inspection I realized I had some kind of vertigo. I could focus straight ahead but didn’t do so well with shifting my eyes from side to side. I turned to the Lord, asking Him to drive for me, help me think clearly, grant me energy, heal me and/or send angels to help me. I began to praise and worship and make declarations of the truth, based on scripture, of His love, care and protection. I continued this aloud whenever I was in the car and some in my head and spirit when I was around others. It took me over three hours but now I can rest, rejoicing in God’s goodness and the truth of His Word.
