My Strength, My Song-Sheryl

“The Lord is my strength and song, And He has become my salvation; He is my God, and I will praise Him; My father’s God, and I will exalt Him.” (Exodus 15:2)

Trust in the Lord…don’t rely on Yourself…He will direct your path is from Proverbs 3:5,6.  Lord if I don’t have You to trust in I have nothing.  No one else can heal me.  No one else has Your wisdom. I would be bereft and despairing without You.  My tests come back negative yet my blood pressure isn’t stable and spikes.  I still get swelling and tenderness in my jaw.  I throw myself on Your mercy, Lord.  Please heal and direct my path.  It is when I am in mental, emotional, or physical pain that I know You are the only one, true Anchor.  I have clung to You, Lord, in the depths and You have proved faithful.  You have seen me through, changed me, and blessed me on the other side many times.  You are my Rock, my Fortress, my Shield, and my High Tower.  I can run to You and be held and safe.  I lean on You.  I love You.  I bless Your Name, Jesus, the Name above every name.

“No striving today, no stress.  Walk in the garden with Me.”

Everything pleasant is here, a sunny garden, the shadowy glade nearby.  I hear the ocean just out of sight.  And You are here.

“Come find rest for your soul.”

The song of the ocean is still one of my favorite sounds.  The tension drains most quickly when I listen to it.

“Let Me be your song, My Spirit your breeze, My Son your rest.  You may not always be by the ocean but We are always near.”
