Having Done All, Stand-Sheryl

Hebrews 13:5b,6 says “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”  So we can confidently say, “The Lord is my Helper; I will not fear; what can man do to me?”

Lord, You are a good, good God.  I trust in You and lean on You.  I don’t understand my blood pressure or know how to function in its fluctuations.  I go day to day trusting in You for healing and strength for it often makes me feel weak and washed out.  Sometimes I feel like I want to just sleep or live on the couch, but life and responsibilities go on. I wouldn’t mind going home to You, but I don’t think I’m done here either.  I am doing what I know how to do.  I’ve seen doctors who can’t find the cause.  So I live in Your strength and on Your mercy and in Your grace.  And I still ask for Your healing, to feel well and able again, to live with joy and energy.  You are the one Who “holds all things together” including my life and being.  You made me; You know me; You saved me; You love me so “doing all I stand.”  (Eph. 6:13)

“I am persuaded that You are able to keep that which I have committed to You until that day” (II Tim. 1:12) that final day of my life on earth when I enter into glory with You.  I know this life is fleeting.  I am just passing through a brief space in time on my way to eternity with You. But I do get so focused on this earthly body and the life You give here.  In this frame it is hard not to do so, but I love You, Lord.  Here I am.  Fill me.  Speak to me.  Send me.  Use me.  “for I am yours and You are mine.” (from “Oceans” by Hillsong)
