seek peace and pursue it (Ps 34:14b)
I hear “seek peace and pursue it.” Is this my word for the day, Lord? I worship You. You Yourself are my blessing. Where are You, my Lord?…We are back at the lake, the tree, the overturned boat. What would You say to me?
“Come sit with Me.”
We sit on the overturned boat and look out at the lake.
“Peace. let your life be characterized by peace, My peace which passes human understanding. It is the peace I give in the midst of a life or death situation. It is based on the clarity I give about what is truly real about a situation, however hard or threatening. With My peace faith is easy and anxiety leaves. There is no place for it. The peace I give is a gift, but you can prepare a place for it. Take every thought captive–the ones the enemy of your soul tries to plant to subvert My truth and malign My character. Come often to Me, to My Word. Enter My gates with thanksgiving and come into My courts with praise. Whatever day I have made, in whatever situation you find yourself, can you rejoice and say ‘You have made me glad?'”
If You meet me with Your peace, Lord. I don’t think I can always do that last part without it.
“You are honest. I will do what you cannot.”
I do worship You. I thank You for all You have done and are doing.
“Go in peace, My peace.”
